Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Workday – HCM / Financial Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain integrations for Workday across the HCM and Financials modules.

• Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday integrations and reporting solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal IT teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain integrations utilizing Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Benefit Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

• Configure and support Workday Business Processes to adapt to evolving business needs.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Workday Reports and BIRT Reports.

• Upload and manage Workday content, including questionnaires, onboarding materials, and related configurations.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and application issues to support production environments.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring technical challenges.

• Configure and maintain Workday Security Profiles and role-based access controls.

• Participate in Workday release activities, including impact assessments, testing, validation, and deployment support.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications, design documents, support guides, and operational procedures.

• Suggest enhancements to integration architecture and technical processes by utilizing new Workday capabilities and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Workday solutions align with organizational goals and enterprise architecture.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and development team members.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, project planning, estimations, and sprint activities.

• Ensure adherence to organizational standards, security policies, and IT governance processes.

• Support ITSM processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management while maintaining agreed-upon service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Total Experience: 8+ years.

• Significant experience in Workday Integration Development and Support.

• Hands-on expertise in Workday HCM and Workday Financials, with a mandatory requirement for Financials experience.

• Strong background in developing and supporting Workday Integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) – User Template Fill-In, Mass Uploads, and Outbound Integrations, as well as Core Connectors, Benefit Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

• Experience configuring and supporting Workday Business Processes.

• Hands-on experience with Workday Report Writer and BIRT Report Development.

• Strong understanding of the Workday Security Framework and Security Profiles.

• Experience in enhancing and supporting existing Workday functional configurations and integrations.

• Familiarity with uploading and maintaining Workday content such as questionnaires, onboarding resources, and related configurations.

• Solid understanding of Workday Financials business processes.

• Additional functional knowledge of Compensation, Payroll, Core HCM, Recruiting, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Employee Management System (EMS), and Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the capability to resolve complex integration and production support issues.

• Experience with ITSM processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills capable of effective collaboration with business users, implementation partners, and cross-functional IT teams.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working within Agile development and project delivery environments.

• Workday Certification is preferred.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale global Workday implementations is an advantage.

• Availability to work during US business hour overlap.

• Shift Time: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST.
