This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and enhance the architectural vision for customer-oriented systems in alignment with the overall business strategy. Lead cross-organizational initiatives that focus on long-term scalability, system boundaries, and foundational capabilities.
• Establish patterns and frameworks that guarantee quality, resilience, and operational excellence throughout the organization. Act as the authority on design decisions and promote alignment among teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to influence product direction and ensure our architecture aligns with strategic objectives. Foster organization-wide adoption of scalable practices, tools, and development standards.
• Mentor senior technical leaders, improving engineering capabilities across the organization. Advocate for initiatives that enhance talent density, engineering rigor, and a culture of continuous learning.
• Navigate through complexity and ambiguity, providing clarification where ownership is unclear. Eliminate organizational obstacles, streamline decision-making, and expedite the delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Convert customer needs and product goals into scalable technical solutions. Establish principles and patterns that integrate customer obsession into our platform’s architecture.
• Design systems and team boundaries that facilitate sustainable growth. Promote early investment in non-functional priorities (e.g., observability, migrations, reliability) during the design process.
• 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of technical leadership at a group level.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kotlin, Java, or Go, along with a comprehensive understanding of system design for scalability and performance.
• Experience in introducing and scaling shared infrastructure, frameworks, or libraries across various teams.
• Proficient in CI/CD workflows (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and observability tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Proven ability to drive architectural clarity and achieve strategic technical alignment across different functions.
• Experience in translating customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, and impactful technical solutions.
