Senior SRE / DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Collaborate closely with our infrastructure team, suggesting new technologies or enhancements to the existing platform.

• Prioritize the performance and stability of the overall production solution.

• Engage in the development of new environments for innovative solutions.

• Evaluate the current platform and propose new strategies that enhance performance, stability, or cost-effectiveness.

• Continually seek out potential cost-saving opportunities for Segware’s offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation for infrastructure deployment.

• Experience in developing reusable modules and implementing versioning best practices.

• Advanced management skills in Kubernetes (EKS, OVH).

• Proficient in Helm Charts, Kustomize, Kubernetes Federation, or Karmada.

• Background in policy enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper).

• Strong knowledge of AWS and OVH.

• Practical experience with EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, and financial management.

• Familiarity with Auto Scaling Groups (ASGs), Spot Instances, and Load Balancers.

• Configuration and management experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and Loki.

• Experience in distributed tracing (Jaeger or OpenTelemetry).

• Capability to create effective alerts for Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Proficient with Bitbucket Pipelines and Jenkins.

• Experience in configuring deployments for EKS, Swarm, and virtual machines.

• Knowledge of progressive delivery methods (Canary, Blue-Green, Feature Flags).

• Proficiency in Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Familiarity with secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).

• Experience with VPCs, VPNs, Security Groups, Firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).

• Expertise in Kubernetes hardening, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) configuration, and access control (IAM).

• Knowledge of mTLS, OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, or Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB and Redis).

• Skills in backup, replication, and failover management.

• Proficient in performance troubleshooting, including the analysis of slow queries, locks, and deadlocks.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash, Python, Go, or Ruby.

• Experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and JSON/YAML for automation.

• 6–8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)/DevOps.

• Background in working with complex, highly available environments and large-scale workloads.

• Proven track record in participating in infrastructure migrations and optimizing cost and performance.

• Experience in leading automation, architecture, or production system enhancement projects.

• Proficient in reading technical English.

• Experience with Linux.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL and MongoDB).

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• Experience with Apache Kafka.

• Proficient in Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes.

• Experience with Redis.

• Background in distributed and multithreaded applications.

• Experience in performance analysis and algorithm optimization, including SQL.

• Experience with application auto-scaling is a plus.

• Solid experience with Java 8 or later is a plus.

• Familiarity with the Spring Framework/Spring Boot is a plus.

• Experience with Hibernate is a plus.
