Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance infrastructure within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to facilitate applications and Artificial Intelligence agents.

• Oversee Kubernetes clusters (OKE), ensuring they maintain high availability, scalability, and peak performance.

• Automate infrastructure setup by utilizing Terraform and following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

• Implement autoscaling, observability, and monitoring strategies tailored for distributed environments.

• Manage network configurations, security protocols, and access control within OCI settings.

• Handle secrets management, environment configurations, and operational automation tasks.

• Monitor key metrics related to availability, performance, and reliability, driving ongoing enhancements.

• Participate in FinOps initiatives aimed at cost optimization and efficient utilization of infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Proficient in Kubernetes, ideally with Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).

• Familiarity with Terraform and best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Knowledge of cloud networking components, including VCN, NSG, and Service Gateway.

• Understanding of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and APM or similar tools.

• Experience with SRE principles, focusing on reliability, availability, and defining SLIs/SLOs.

• Background in distributed environments, operational automation, and CI/CD practices.

• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to work.

• Familiarity with FinOps in AI environments is a plus.

• Knowledge of Service Mesh and secure inter-service communication (mTLS) is advantageous.

• Experience with OCI Streaming or messaging platforms compatible with Kafka is beneficial.

• Familiarity with GPU inference runtimes, such as vLLM or NVIDIA Triton, is a plus.
