This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address their needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to facilitate calls to action and finalize sales calls.
• Respond to customer needs and establish trusted relationships to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to optimize coverage and frequency for key customers.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of the market, competitors, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales strategies.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of five years of relevant and comparable industry experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required when substituting experience for a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
