This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Provide up-to-date and thorough knowledge of Amgen's products while communicating their clinical benefits to medical professionals.
• Promote appropriate product usage.
• Achieve territory sales through strategic branded messaging, organized programs, and medical educational initiatives.
• Plan and follow up on medical educational programs.
• Meet or surpass sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships while managing accounts effectively.
• Tailor discussions and interactions with customers based on their specific needs.
• Ensure product accessibility and address or escalate reimbursement issues.
• Oversee product contracts.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales activities and assess territory performance.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to develop territory plans.
• Share best practices while fostering a culture of learning and growth among colleagues.
• Maintain enthusiasm for the product throughout the sales cycle and enhance the Amgen brand.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field.
• OR an associate degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field.
• OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field.
• Preference for candidates with over 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or clinical roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device, or medical supply sectors.
• Preference for candidates with product or hospital sales experience in specific specialty areas.
• Advanced skills in influencing and relationship-building with a focus on sales outcomes are preferred.
• Preferred candidates will have local market knowledge.
• A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration is preferred.
• Candidates should demonstrate adaptability in sales planning and organization, possess business/industry/technical knowledge, communicate effectively, drive for results, and cultivate internal and external relationships.
• Must be able to cover Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky, including Evansville, Indiana; Owensboro and Bowling Green, Kentucky; extending west to Paducah, Kentucky.
