This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement the global geodiversity strategy by providing data-driven insights for adjustments based on supplier performance, regional stability, and total landed cost analysis.
• Track monthly scorecards (KPIs) that assess quality, on-time delivery, and cost; leverage these insights to enhance supplier performance and manage crucial partnerships.
• Accountable for achieving and surpassing monthly cost targets for specified categories; oversee the annual tooling budget and conduct monthly reconciliations with Finance.
• Supervise development lifecycles and address timeline obstacles to ensure timely product readiness for purchase order placements.
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, enhance cross-functional communication, and decrease lead times/sample rounds.
• Directly oversee and mentor a Sourcing Manager, cultivating a high-performance team atmosphere and acting as a subject matter expert for the larger department.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in international sourcing, product development, or production.
• Proven experience in owning and managing a functional category.
• Sourcing experience overseas (preferably in Asia), both directly and through third-party partnerships.
• Proficient in handling high volume SKU counts throughout various stages of development and production.
• Strong technical understanding of diverse manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, cut-and-sew, print packaging) is highly desirable.
• Experience in direct people management.
• Comfortable taking responsibility for a defined area of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
