Senior Solutions Engineer – Public Sector SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Clearly define the F5 product strategy, messaging, and positioning while illustrating F5’s value proposition and solutions aligned with customer business goals.

• Deliver technical insights through various sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proof of concepts using multiple formats – including in-person and virtual presentations, whiteboards, etc.

• Guide and educate sales teams on the benefits of F5 solutions and the business drivers behind them.

• Assess the feasibility of opportunities and outline the organizational structure.

• Lead the sales process in collaboration with the Account Manager by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing their technical validation, support, and sponsorship.

• Maintain a commitment to providing exceptional customer service throughout the customer life cycle.

• Collaborate effectively with internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices and updates while offering and seeking expertise as needed across various opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer.

• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies, including F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, and others.

• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.

• Knowledge of related protocols, such as TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, etc.

• Proficiency in Linux-/UNIX-based systems.

• Skills in networking technologies and Internet security products and services.

• Experience with cloud service providers like GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, systems, and tools (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).

• Experience in API development and/or management.

• Background in a DevOps environment.
