Senior Solutions Engineer – Financial Services, Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Clearly convey the business and technical advantages of Neo4j to customers and prospects, acting as a primary technical advisor and champion for our products and services.

• Proactively lead and manage the technology evaluation phase of the sales process.

• Handle multiple opportunities simultaneously and oversee daily tasks such as opportunity assessment, technical exploration, presentations, platform demonstrations, proof of value, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria.

• Develop and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels, serving as a trusted advisor to help them realize the potential of Neo4j.

• Collaborate with customers to create reference and solution architectures, including the integration of Neo4j into their existing infrastructure and applications, whether in a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise setting.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest Neo4j features, including usage and integration with third-party tools and services.

• Synthesize and relay customer requirements and product insights to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.

• Contribute to demand generation by participating in account-based marketing events, as well as well-known industry conferences and trade shows.

• Set a positive example and actively promote a culture of teamwork, transparency, creativity, and ongoing improvement.

• Travel as necessary to support deal creation and closure while providing assistance to your team as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as Sales/Pre-sales/Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant.

• Experience with various data technologies in enterprise data architecture, data analytics, data science, or cloud data architecture.

• Knowledge of graph databases (such as Neo4j, TigerGraph, OrientDB, JanusGraph, etc.) is highly desirable.

• Practical experience with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases, along with proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.

• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and Agentic AI is essential.

• Proven success in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions in either the public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise environments.

• Ability to engage and articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels through presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and platform demonstrations.

• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes in the financial sector.

• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies (particularly in graph databases), innovating data modeling approaches, and leading change management initiatives.

• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the capability to prioritize tasks, adapt quickly, and solve problems effectively.
