Data Governance and Data Analytics Presales Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive data platforms utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.

• Design governance solutions leveraging Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog.

• Construct scalable and auditable analytics environments through medallion architecture, Delta Lake principles, and Power BI/Fabric-native reporting techniques.

• Establish AI-readiness criteria and ensure conversational access patterns for Copilot and data agents.

• Collaborate with executives and data leaders on strategy, governance maturity, analytics modernization, compliance, and prioritization of roadmaps.

• Facilitate discovery workshops, assessments, and evaluations of maturity.

• Work alongside Account Executives to promote opportunities with robust technical credibility and strategic insights.

• Prepare estimates, pricing strategies, business cases, and customized solution proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics consulting, or a related technical domain.

• At least 3 years in presales, solution architecture, or a customer-facing advisory position.

• Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise data platforms with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, or similar modern analytics platforms.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, or equivalent governance tools for cataloging, metadata management, lineage, and control frameworks.

• Hands-on experience enabling semantic models, metadata, and governance for Copilot, natural-language queries, and agentic access patterns.

• A strong history of leading discovery sessions, crafting proposals, sizing engagements, delivering presentations to executives, and advancing deals.

• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or an equivalent certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).

• Willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto Area, nationally, and to the United States as necessary.
