This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
• Lead technical discovery workshops proactively to identify and validate customer requirements, use cases, and to develop a bill of materials, design, and, if necessary, a statement of work that aligns with the desired outcomes.
• Deliver advanced technical sales presentations and solution demonstrations covering the SonicWall portfolio to audiences typically ranging from 10 to 500 individuals, ensuring partners and customers are up-to-date with our new solutions and industry trends.
• Articulate and demonstrate SonicWall's unique value proposition, understanding our competitors’ offerings in this domain and the reasons for our success. This includes sharing competitive insights with colleagues and the sales team.
• Establish a network of 10-20 trusted relationships with technical decision-makers among strategic channel partners and customers, conducting recurring meetings with solution decision-makers, including C-level executives.
• Create and maintain a personal lab for common demo requests and personal growth.
• Assist with remote partner product trials.
• Act as the technical lead for proof of concepts conducted with either partners or direct customers.
• Collaborate with VARs, MSPs, and MSSPs on managed service sales, deployment, and support initiatives.
• Engage in beta testing and provide feedback on products, working closely with product management teams.
• Collaborate with support teams as necessary to maintain strong relationships with partners and customers.
• Support key technical marketing initiatives by creating collateral and presenting at both internal and external events.
• Lead significant technical marketing initiatives, delivering presentations both internally and externally.
• Acquire expertise at the PoC level in 7-10 SonicWall product areas, becoming a subject matter expert and a go-to resource for the region.
• Regularly share best practices with peers and the sales team.
• Provide mentorship to at least one Solution Engineer.
• Keep regional sales teams informed about roadmap insights, product updates, and technical best practices.
• Foster a culture of teamwork with extended teams, collaborating effectively and proposing ideas that enhance the overall efficiency of the Pre-Sales organization.
• Comply with the company values, guidelines, and regional reporting tasks related to solution engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is typically required, along with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a master’s degree or PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP and CEH are essential.
• ITIL Certification is required.
• Microsoft Azure or AWS Practitioner certification is necessary.
• Maintain specialist knowledge across SonicWall products to the required level.
• SNSA & SNSP SonicWall Certification training will be provided.
• Familiarity with governance and compliance issues, as well as management/reporting solutions and requirements.
• Additionally, the candidate should have experience with a full range of L2-L7 networking technologies and protocols, including NAT, stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS, web and content filtering, proxies, email security gateways, VPN and encryption (IPsec/SSL), PKI and key management, 802.11/WLAN, Syslog, NetFlow/IPFIX, Active Directory and LDAP, SAML 2.0 and modern Identity Providers, Zero Trust, SASE and SSE, and virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure.
