Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical discovery process, design architecture, and implement Proofs of Concept (PoCs) throughout the pre-sales phase.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop persuasive technical value propositions.

• Provide impactful demonstrations, workshops, and proposals specifically designed for C-level and technical stakeholders.

• Build trust and credibility with clients, identifying technical champions and positioning yourself as a strategic advisor.

• Act as a liaison between clients and internal Product and Engineering teams to communicate feedback and shape the product roadmap.

• Oversee cross-regional technical initiatives and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability.

• Mentor junior team members, promote technical excellence, and disseminate industry best practices throughout the SE team.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

• Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and manage technical environments to support enterprise sales efforts.

• Convert complex client requirements into scalable, sustainable, and technically robust solutions.

• Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and customer engagements, traveling as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role within solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture.

• Familiarity with areas such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud architecture, or DevOps.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, with expertise in at least one (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Proven track record in leading and documenting proof of concepts and developing technical and deal champions.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a demonstrated history of delivering thought leadership to the wider industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with security and compliance frameworks (such as PII, PCI, HIPAA) is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
