Senior Public Sector Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Interact with public sector clients, both in-person and virtually, to offer technical insights and support throughout the pre-sales journey, which includes customized demonstrations, technical presentations, and interactive workshops.

• Work in conjunction with the sales team to develop and implement account strategies that promote GitLab's adoption within governmental settings.

• Oversee the technical evaluation framework, encompassing the design and execution of proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV), as well as providing support for tenders and audits and contributing technical insights to proposals.

• Lead the development of Customer Success Plans that outline technical success metrics and transition details from the pre-sales phase, ensuring a seamless transition to deployment and adoption.

• Establish and strengthen relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, encouraging them to become advocates for GitLab within their organizations.

• Act as the customer representative internally by relaying feedback and insights to the Product, Sales, Marketing, and other GitLab teams to help shape the roadmap and messaging.

• Continuously enhance and expand your knowledge of GitLab and associated technologies, including contemporary software development, operations, and cloud practices, while creating reusable examples and resources for customers and partners.

• Conduct Value Stream Assessments to pinpoint opportunities for customers to enhance their software delivery using GitLab.

• Provide mentorship to fellow Solutions Architects, participate in team learning initiatives, refine technical materials and documentation, and share subject matter expertise through GitLab’s collaborative platforms to boost team readiness, asset reuse, and engagement consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or information technology positions, preferably with U.S. public sector or federal clients, where you guided customers through evaluations and solution development.

• Practical experience utilizing GitLab and an understanding of modern software development and operational methodologies, such as CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and associated technologies in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

• Capability to link technical solutions to quantifiable business or mission results and advise senior stakeholders on trade-offs and available options.

• Strong and confident communication and relationship-building abilities, including leading customer meetings, demonstrations, and value-centered discussions in close collaboration with sales and cross-functional teams.

• A passion for continuous learning, mentoring, and leveraging transferable skills from related experiences to enhance expertise in GitLab, AI, and DevSecOps.
