This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Directors to oversee intricate, multi-stakeholder opportunities from the initial discovery phase to closure, advancing these opportunities through evaluation, shortlist, and proof-of-concept stages to enhance win rates and meet quota targets for your designated cohort.
• Create and present customized product demonstrations that are straightforward yet captivating, catering to Higher Education, K12, further education, government, and corporate learning sectors.
• Identify and evaluate individual customer objectives and challenges, looking beyond immediate needs to craft solutions that align with the customer's broader ecosystem and long-term goals.
• Review and address technical specifications in RFIs and RFPs, determining the necessary Instructure solutions, services, and partners to fulfill client requirements.
• Tackle integration and deployment needs including SIS interoperability, SSO and identity management, APIs, data residency, hosting, security assessments, and compliance frameworks.
• Document customer specifications to facilitate effective evaluation, proof of concept, and implementation, ensuring a seamless transition to post-sales teams.
• Work closely with our customer experience teams to guarantee an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire relationship.
• Share your knowledge with the EMEA SE team by mentoring peers, contributing to training and professional development, and maintaining an organized, up-to-date, and instructionally relevant demo environment and technical toolkit.
• Commit to lifelong learning by continuously developing your and your team's skills, while staying updated on regional educational trends, procurement policies, and digital transformation initiatives across EMEA.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, solution consulting, or technical pre-sales within a SaaS context.
• Practical understanding of teaching, instructional design, or education administration.
• Technical knowledge of education technology, web technologies, systems integration, SaaS, student information systems, APIs, SSO, and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience in responding to RFIs and RFPs, preferably within government, enterprise, or large-scale educational sectors.
• Strong and persuasive presentation skills, with the ability to engage faculty, IT leaders, and executives effectively, both virtually and in-person, in high-pressure situations.
• Confidence to express a viewpoint, constructively challenge assumptions, and guide senior stakeholders through complex evaluation processes.
• Organized and analytical, capable of overcoming sales challenges through innovative and flexible strategies.
• Self-driven, independent, collaborative, and communicative.
• Open to traveling up to 30% across EMEA.
