This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in technical sales discussions: Participate in calls with customers and partners, facilitate technical discovery, address product inquiries, and illustrate how the Brave Search API can be integrated into various products and AI workflows.
• Conduct demonstrations and create proof-of-concepts: Develop demos, small applications, notebooks, and examples that showcase how to utilize the Brave Search API for search, RAG, LLM applications, agents, and other relevant use cases for customers.
• Guide customers in getting started: Collaborate with prospects and clients as they transition from their initial API call to a functioning integration. Identify obstacles they encounter and assist in overcoming those challenges.
• Enhance sales and onboarding resources: Develop and maintain technical documentation, demo scripts, sample code, integration notes, FAQs, and comparison materials that aid customers in evaluating the product.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams: Collect and relay clear feedback from customers, including requests for missing features, confusing documentation, common implementation challenges, pricing inquiries, and competitive shortcomings.
• Enhance the developer experience: Work on improving documentation, examples, API onboarding, and setup processes to ensure ease of use. The objective is to simplify the experience for developers testing the Brave Search API and understanding its potential applications.
• Assist with integrations: Ensure that Brave is well-represented in the tools utilized by AI developers, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, and similar frameworks.
• Support product launches: Collaborate with Product Marketing as needed, primarily by supplying the technical components: demos, documentation, examples, and clear explanations of any changes made.
• Experience in technical sales: You have previously engaged with prospects, customers, partners, or technical buyers. You know how to pose insightful questions, comprehend what someone aims to create, and clarify how the product can assist.
• Practical technical skills: You are capable of reading and writing basic Python or JavaScript, testing an API using cURL or Postman, and building simple examples independently without needing assistance from an engineer.
• Knowledge of AI and search: You possess an understanding of RAG, LLMs, agents, context windows, search APIs, and the distinctions between lexical and semantic search.
• Credibility with developers: You recognize what can make APIs challenging to use. You are concerned about documentation, rate limits, examples, error messages, and the duration it takes for someone to achieve their first successful API call.
• Effective communication skills: You can articulate technical concepts in straightforward language. You are capable of writing documentation, customer notes, demo scripts, and concise technical explanations that do not resemble marketing content.
• Strong internal follow-through: You can translate customer feedback into actionable insights for Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Opportunity to influence developer growth for an innovative API product within a rapidly expanding company.
• Remote work flexibility combined with a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
