Senior Solutions Engineer – AEC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead Technical Engagements: Take the initiative to independently manage intricate customer interactions and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) with well-defined execution strategies. You will engage in hands-on configurations of Egnyte and third-party integrations, ensuring optimal technical compatibility.

• Speak to Business Outcomes: Recognize that the primary users of Egnyte are in the line of business (LOB), rather than IT, and the most effective SEs can connect non-technical and technical audiences seamlessly.

• Industry Consulting: Utilize your expertise in IT, Engineering, or Construction to serve as a reliable advisor. You will proactively pinpoint technical hurdles related to large file management, site-to-office synchronization, and remote collaboration.

• Solution Design: Create and present customized presentations and solution proposals. You will align specific client business needs with impactful technical solutions.

• Market Intelligence: Sustain a comprehensive understanding of the AEC competitive environment (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Bentley). You will assess deal relevance in accordance with Egnyte's GTM strategy and offer insights to your sales team.

• Cross-Functional Impact: Work collaboratively with Egnyte Product and Engineering to share industry knowledge that influences the roadmap. You will also guide colleagues to foster customer success across the expanding AEC scope of work.

• RFx Responses: Spearhead the technical response for RFIs/RFPs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in a mix of Sales Engineering, Technology (IT and/or AEC industry technology), and AEC industry exposure.

• This position is NOT focused on programming.

• While hobbyist or minimal coding experience may be advantageous, applicants who anticipate heavily utilizing their developer skills need not apply.

• Technical knowledge of key AEC design and collaboration tools is preferred, specifically: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Procore, or ACC is highly sought after.

• Consultative Selling: Strong background in process-oriented solution selling (value-selling).

• IT Knowledge: Extensive understanding of SaaS, infrastructure, network (impact of bandwidth/latency on CAD), authentication (SSO/AD), and data governance.

• Presentation Skills: Capability to deliver executive-level pitches that align with customer objectives and handle objections with assurance in real-time.
