Senior Solutions Architect – AWS Migration, Modernisation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the architecture for a sophisticated migration program from Azure to AWS.

• Propel initiatives for the modernization of applications and infrastructure.

• Advise senior stakeholders on strategies for cloud transformation.

• Develop comprehensive high and low-level designs, migration plans, and ensure technical governance.

• Serve as the principal technical authority throughout the delivery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading migrations from Azure to AWS, specifically regarding infrastructure (Windows Servers, Windows Containers).

• Proficient in managing databases (SQL Server).

• Experience with legacy .NET application environments.

• Strong practical knowledge of AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Programme).

• Familiarity with Amazon EKS.

• Experience in Windows-to-Linux modernization.

• Knowledge of SQL Server to PostgreSQL migrations.

• Experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL.

• Capability to define migration strategies, target architectures, and modernization roadmaps.

• Exceptional communication skills for customer engagement and executive stakeholder presentations.

• Preferred experience within the Mortgage, Banking, or Financial Services sectors.

• Understanding of regulatory, security, and data governance requirements in highly regulated environments.
