This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and other Solution architects to define solution architecture and technical context diagrams that align with business and technology strategies, as well as the functional and nonfunctional requirements of specific initiatives.
• Maintain the technical footprint by conducting fitness assessments, managing technical debt, and monitoring application health.
• Ensure alignment and foster collaboration with the EA group, peer Domain Architects, and Solution Architects.
• Advocate for and support the IT strategy while analyzing the servicing operations IT environment to identify deficiencies and suggest enhancements.
• Lead, promote, and communicate progress, outcomes, and results in domain architecture.
• Offer technical consultation and conduct research for application development projects as necessary.
• Engage in the evaluation and selection of standard technologies and/or products.
• Analyze IT industry and market trends to assess their impact on business and operations.
• Provide technical leadership and consulting for development teams.
• Assist development team management and solution architects in ensuring that domain development teams comply with enterprise architecture standards, maintain code quality, and adhere to metrics and targets.
• Identify the organizational resources, structures, and cultural changes required to support enterprise architecture.
• Ensure that application developers possess the necessary knowledge, experience, tools, environments, and support to function as a high-performing team.
• Continuously monitor the optimal utilization of technology investments and assist in the budgeting process.
• Over 15 years of experience in Software Architecture and Development, particularly with enterprise-level initiatives.
• A minimum of 2 years in Cloud Architecture and Development, with AWS experience and certifications being highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience working within Agile teams and across multiple teams.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Desired Education: An advanced degree is a plus.
• Required Skills: Proficient understanding of cloud architecture.
• Proven expertise across multiple related disciplines, including architecture/design and application development, using structured methodologies for developing complex, large-scale applications.
• Experience with the DevOps model of development and facilitating teams' transition from traditional to DevOps practices.
• Proficient in full-stack development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular and React.
• Familiarity with REST or similar API frameworks in the context of enterprise-level API portals.
• Excellent knowledge of securing applications within a cloud environment.
• Experience architecting solutions that span both “On Cloud” and “On Prem.”
• Strong understanding of modern data solutions in the cloud and data exchange formats.
• In-depth knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture, including enterprise integration patterns and security patterns.
• Familiar with web and data technologies from both an architectural perspective and an experienced implementation viewpoint.
• Experience with XML/XSL/XSLT/XSD, SOAP, WSDL, HTTP, REST, and AJAX development and/or architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL and advanced querying techniques.
• Security considerations for distributed web applications.
• Desired Skills: Strong expertise in cloud architecture and development on AWS.
• Experience in software development, particularly in automating QA processes, is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with RPA.
• Knowledge of FIS development and architecture.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling.
• Familiar with Open SSO, oAuth, SAML, SFTP, and PGP.
