This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the architecture design for new products, digital platforms, and the updating of legacy systems.
• Convert business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and sustainable technical solutions.
• Model systems and architectures utilizing the C4 Model, which includes context, containers, components, and, when required, code-level specifics.
• Establish architectural standards for microservices, integrations, APIs, messaging, and inter-system communication.
• Create cloud-native solutions that prioritize high availability, elasticity, security, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Facilitate the advancement of distributed, event-driven, and reactive system architectures.
• Serve as a liaison between business sectors, Product, and development teams to ensure alignment of strategy, architecture, and implementation.
• Mentor engineering teams in the adoption of technical best practices and architectural patterns.
• Aid in decision-making regarding technologies, frameworks, platforms, integrations, and cloud services.
• Evaluate technical impacts, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and areas for enhancement.
• Engage in technical discussions, refinements, solution exploration, and initiative planning.
• Oversee the governance of APIs, integrations, microservices, and security standards.
• Contribute to strategies for observability, including monitoring, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect, Software Architect, Tech Lead, or in a comparable role.
• Background in designing distributed architectures and ecosystems based on microservices.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns, system integration, and application modernization.
• Proven experience in tackling eventual consistency, resilience, concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerance issues.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging, and Pub/Sub patterns.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming and messaging technologies.
• Knowledge of reactive systems principles and resilient architectural designs.
• Experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including clusters, pods, services, ingress, networking, scalability, and workload management.
• Experience with containers and cloud-native architectural frameworks.
• Understanding of the API lifecycle, which encompasses design, versioning, security, publication, monitoring, and governance.
• Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, and/or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with API Gateway or API Management tools such as Kong, Apigee, WSO2, or similar platforms.
• Practical knowledge of applying security within architecture, including IAM, authentication, authorization, and access segregation.
• Experience with standards and protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mTLS.
• Experience in formulating observability strategies focused on metrics, logs, and distributed tracing.
• Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Datadog, or similar.
• Relevant hands-on backend development experience, including deploying applications to production environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, C#, Python, or similar.
• Capability to create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and decision records.
• Strong communication abilities, systems thinking, critical thinking, and the capacity to make informed technical decisions.
