Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation to illustrate how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform fulfills customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Lead the technical evaluation process as the primary responsible individual, which includes solution design, ownership of POC/POV, workshop design, and handling the technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.

• Collaborate closely with Account Executives and regional sales teams throughout Northern EU to formulate and implement account strategies that facilitate the acquisition and expansion of new customers.

• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through transformations driven by GitLab and empowering them to become advocates for GitLab.

• Provide guidance to customers on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud methodologies, challenging traditional approaches to enhance return on investment.

• Act as the customer’s voice within Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by relaying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that inform the product roadmap and positioning.

• Maintain and enhance your technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and associated cloud technologies by creating reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical materials for customers and partners.

• Commit to your own growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to consistently elevate the impact of the Solutions Architect team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience engaging with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, guiding them through solution design and assessment.

• In-depth understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, encompassing modern DevSecOps practices and workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

• Practical experience with GitLab or equivalent source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, along with the ability to align platform capabilities with customer use cases.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and related technologies, enabling discussions around deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.

• Proven ability to lead technical evaluations, including proofs of concept or value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and facilitate workshops or value stream assessments.

• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to tailor messages for both practitioners and senior business and technical decision-makers.

• Proficiency in building trusted relationships, demonstrating empathetic listening, and serving as a customer advocate to internal teams such as Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

• Strong motivation for ongoing professional development, including learning new technologies, deepening expertise in the GitLab platform, and leveraging transferable experience from related fields.
