This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical architecture and implementation of an integration platform for the Air Force, utilizing Google Cloud, Apigee, and Kubernetes.
• Design and lead the creation of scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to convert mission requirements into technical solutions and platform functionalities.
• Assist engineering teams in designing, constructing, and resolving issues within distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Direct decisions related to cloud architecture, networking, system design, and service integrations.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for various services.
• Work alongside both technical and non-technical stakeholders to collect requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver effective solutions.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation regarding architectural choices, system designs, and platform setups.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, engaging in implementation when necessary.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure that solutions align with mission requirements and deadlines.
• Over 8 years of experience in a technical leadership or architectural capacity.
• Proven experience in designing and constructing enterprise cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments (Kubectl, Helm).
• Strong programming skills in a typed language (Java, Kotlin, C#, etc.).
• Experience in designing and managing cloud-based and distributed systems.
• Background in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, etc.).
• Professional-level cloud architecture certification, ideally Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with clients while also effectively collaborating with engineering teams.
