Senior Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist Solution Providers and Practice Leads in formulating technical strategies that empower them to market their offerings on Snowflake.

• Exhibit forward-thinking capabilities by swiftly understanding new concepts and articulating business value messaging.

• Possess a robust understanding of how System Integrators generate revenue amidst industry priorities and complexities, influencing where Snowflake products can deliver the most value for their services.

• Collaborate in the development and launch of unique solution offerings alongside System Integrator partners.

• Engage in discussions with fellow technologists and deliver presentations to C-level executives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in designing, building, and supporting large-scale production systems.

• Hands-on expertise in developing and deploying PySpark, Scala, and SQL to construct ELT/data pipelines in production settings, with a commitment to staying updated on the latest Spark advancements and best practices.

• Proven experience in designing and creating highly scalable data pipelines using Spark and Kafka to ingest data from diverse systems.

• Familiarity with integration platforms such as Matillion, FiveTran, Informatica, and dbtCloud.

• Background in database technologies.

• Practical technical experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes and tools, including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Google Cloud Build.

• Significant experience with leading cloud platforms and tools, particularly Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of Big Data or Cloud integration technologies such as Matillion, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, and AWS Lambda.

• Experience with AI/ML use cases is advantageous.

• Strong foundational knowledge in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages is highly regarded.

• Understanding of database internals is a plus.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and product managers.

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
