This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee functional consulting for the implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions throughout the Americas.
• Develop, optimize, configure, validate, and deploy WMS software solutions utilizing industry best practices.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering and design workshops involving customer operations, IT, and executive stakeholders.
• Configure essential warehouse operations such as receiving, putaway, replenishment, wave planning, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, task management, labor management, and yard/dock operations.
• Establish WMS integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, host, and parcel/carrier systems, including defining interface specifications, data mapping, and message flows.
• Direct integration with warehouse automation and floor technologies, including MHE/WCS/WES, conveyors, sortation systems, RF devices, scanners, printers, and labeling.
• Manage data migration and ensure master data readiness, encompassing conversion, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Conduct or oversee system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live hypercare activities.
• Create and maintain functional design documents, configuration specifications, test scripts, cutover plans, SOPs, and training materials.
• Provide training for end-users and super-users while facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Balance project scope, timelines, and requirements to deliver customer satisfaction and timely value.
• Evaluate business needs that extend beyond standard solutions or scopes, considering integration complexity, architectural constraints, and product roadmaps.
• Mentor junior consultants and partner/offshore resources, contributing to reusable practice assets and methodologies.
• Assist in pre-sales and scoping activities through solution demonstrations, estimates, and inputs for statements of work.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities and relay customer-specific product needs and enhancements to PMG and PD.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with tier-1 Warehouse Management Systems.
• Hands-on configuration experience across multiple full-lifecycle WMS implementations, including at least 5 roles as a functional or solution lead.
• Experience in delivering WMS in a cloud/SaaS environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Körber, Manhattan Associates, SAP EWM, or Oracle WMS Cloud is advantageous.
• Current or previous experience in management consulting or a Supply Chain Center is preferred.
• Direct experience in warehouse or distribution center operations, or equivalent DC-floor experience, is strongly preferred.
• Background in automated DC environments, including MHE/WCS/WES, sortation, ASRS, or AMR, is preferred.
• Excellent business analysis capabilities to translate warehouse processes into system configurations, functional designs, and measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational data structures.
• Familiarity with APIs, EDI, XML, JSON, flat files, and interface designs.
• Understanding of distribution center performance measures such as inventory accuracy, throughput, order cycle time, and labor productivity.
• Experience in delivering projects using Agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
• Ability to prepare and present to users, management, and executive audiences.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• An advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Operations Research is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree and relevant industry experience may be considered as an alternative to an advanced degree.
• Capability to walk and stand for extended periods in active distribution center environments.
• Compliance with customer site safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Availability for off-shift, weekend, and holiday work during cutover and go-live periods.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the US 50%–75% of the time.
