Senior Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Provide architectural designs and professional services to Cohesity clients.

• Oversee customer transition processes from assessment through to the completion of deployment.

• Recognize technical, operational, security, and business risks, and create transition plans ahead of implementation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders.

• Cultivate strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams.

• Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management, and engineering teams to align technology capabilities with customer needs.

• Present architecture recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Develop comprehensive solution designs that include architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments.

• Offer field feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams regarding challenges in deployment, feature gaps, automation opportunities, and customer needs.

• Define technical architecture, including sizing and performance metrics that satisfy customer expectations.

• Work with teams to ensure that Deployment Designs are executed successfully.

• Create best practices for deployment designs that can be translated into project plans.

• Continuously enhance deliverables as we scale and introduce new features/products.

• Evaluate deliverables to ensure success and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with others to produce post-deployment documentation (such as run books and pre-deployment templates).

• Provide constructive feedback to Implementation Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering teams on how to enhance the overall experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• More than 10 years of professional IT experience.

• Familiarity with Backup Products: NetBackup, Compute & Virtualization (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Experience with physical systems: Windows, Linux/Unix databases (Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP).

• Knowledge of storage solutions: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3.

• Understanding of networking concepts: IP Planning, VLANs, Routing, Firewall rules, Load Balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, and multisite networking.

• Proficiency in security protocols: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access concepts, key management, encryption, and ransomware recovery principles.

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Archival, Recovery Patterns, Hybrid Cloud Data Protection, Data Security, and Data Management.

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity related to Database Protection and Recovery.

• Scripting and automation experience (Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow).

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation.

• Self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Capability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.
