This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Design, assess, and construct architectures for SAE Level 2 to Level 4 driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technologies.
β’ Define autonomous vehicle interactions concerning vehicle requirements to facilitate data collection for system training and validation.
β’ Oversee verification activities for autonomous vehicle systems, which include architecture and design validation, test strategy formulation in collaboration with the System Integration & Verification Test Leads, and the assessment and prioritization of test outcomes.
β’ Lead and present data analysis while collaborating with product and engineering teams to influence design choices related to requirements and system performance needs.
β’ Create methodologies to evaluate and contrast the effects of ODDs on key performance metrics, converting data and analyses into significant recommendations.
β’ Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
β’ Over 5 years of demonstrated industry expertise.
β’ Robust analytical and architectural experience in both development and production environments.
β’ Background in systems engineering, robotics development, or systems integration and testing.
β’ Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering alignment among product development, engineering, and testing teams.
β’ Familiarity with complex hardware and software systems.
β’ Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering techniques and tools, particularly Magic Cyber Systems Engineer / Cameo.
β’ Proficiency in software and/or tool development focusing on modeling, analysis, utility languages such as Python, and utilizing AI tools to improve requirement and test coverage analysis.
β’ Proven success applying the systems V-Model to advanced engineering projects, preferably in advanced driver assistance or autonomous vehicle systems and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
β’ Extensive technical expertise in at least one key area of robotic systems development (e.g., sensing, perception, motion control).
