This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the pricing and packaging strategies for the SAS product range.
• Perform market analysis, competitive research, and customer segmentation studies.
• Develop and manage the pricing and packaging plan for your segment of the SAS portfolio.
• Create innovative pricing strategies to adapt to evolving business environments.
• Deliver regular pricing evaluations to ensure the pricing strategy aligns with SAS objectives, supports our strategic and financial goals, and assesses its relevance to current or future market dynamics.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across SAS to construct and refine proposals, build consensus, and position for optimized and ultimately approved recommendations.
• Partner closely with the Finance team to guarantee that all pricing and licensing models comply with revenue recognition standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation of pricing decisions to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in SaaS/Software pricing strategy or relevant skills from related fields.
• Experience with usage-based pricing, particularly in Cloud environments.
• Strong capabilities in complex analytical modeling.
• Proficiency in balancing customer needs, revenue growth, and margin enhancement concerning pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, R, Python, and Alteryx.
• Expertise in value and market-based pricing.
• Ability to analyze extensive datasets to assess profitability and the customer impact of pricing recommendations.
• Proficient in leading various projects and analyses, including product pricing, packaging, business case development or evaluation, and operational execution.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of the aforementioned qualifications.
