This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +22 more states.
• Lead and nurture the development of Actuarial Analysts and Consultants by providing coaching, training, and guidance.
• Supervise actuarial analyses to support informed business decision-making.
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Build and sustain business relationships with both internal and external clients.
• Review the work of Consultants and Analysts, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
• Oversee and mentor Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts within the department.
• Manage team schedules and workloads, recommending trade-offs to leadership as necessary.
• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field, with 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis within commercial insurance.
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related area, along with 3 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis focused on personal lines insurance.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) designation required.
• Strong decision-making, leadership, and motivational skills are essential.
• A comprehensive understanding of the market landscape is required.
• Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate, and provide training, guidance, and constructive feedback to professional staff is necessary.
