Senior Software Engineer – TSOM/SOMT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• In the role of ServiceNow Developer for TSOM/SOMT, your primary focus will be on developing customer applications related to Work Order management, scheduling, and dispatch.

• Work closely with stakeholders to determine essential functionalities within the custom ServiceNow instance.

• Improve ServiceNow (SN) event rules as required to ensure accurate CMDB binding.

• Engage with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain the necessary environmental information to support your service map and event initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient experience with TSOM/SOMT and integrations within ServiceNow.

• Strong understanding of TSOM/SOMT and integrations solutions, along with the capability to communicate and implement them effectively.

• Skilled in developing interfaces tailored to various user audiences based on custom application models or Service Portals.

• Experience in creating integrated logic and functional components that interface with internal ServiceNow services and APIs via REST.

• Knowledge of service-oriented and distributed application architecture within the enterprise, including web services, data access and persistence, and client/server models.

• Familiarity with both credential-less and credential-based discovery methods.

• Competence in installing, configuring, and integrating software products from ServiceNow FSM, with an emphasis on discovery, service mapping, certification management, Service Graph Connectors, and Multisource CMDB.

• Ability to prevent duplicate Configuration Items (CIs) using CI identifiers.

• Experience in extending Horizontal Discovery with custom Infrastructure Patterns and Application Patterns.

• Knowledge and capability to configure, manage, and maintain MID servers.

• Proficient in utilizing the command line console for Service Mapping tasks.

• Ability to work with and migrate patterns across environments for Service Mapping.

• Expertise in configuring Identification Rules for Service Mapping.

• Knowledge and ability in discovering multi-tier services, including advanced pattern configuration for Service Mapping.
