Senior Software Engineer - Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy and design scalable, resilient microservices using Java/Spring Boot or Quarkus.

• Create trade order lifecycle processes to ensure reliable broker connectivity and precise allocations.

• Design event-driven architectures and scalable data solutions on AWS utilizing Kafka.

• Enhance inbound and outbound connectivity through FIX, REST, and file-based interfaces.

• Influence engineering culture by mentoring teams and promoting high Agile SDLC standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to convert business needs into scalable technical plans.

• Advocate for Agile practices and the adoption of AI-driven development tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in architecting and developing complex backend distributed systems at scale.

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, JVM optimization, and concurrency management.

• Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud-native architectures and Kafka or comparable messaging platforms.

• Familiarity with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and various data architectures.

• Experience in boosting developer productivity, automation, and the use of AI-enhanced development tools.

• Proven technical leadership and management of cross-team projects.

• Outstanding ability to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in Trading or Financial Services is preferred.

• Practical understanding of the FIX protocol is preferred.

• Familiarity with React is preferred.

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Must be able to start work in the U.S. on the first day of employment.

• Must be available during Eastern working hours.
