Senior Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable frameworks for test automation; produce technical solutions, documentation, and training materials to enable our QA engineers to effortlessly create scenarios within these frameworks.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive test strategy for our platform, encompassing functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.

• Collaborate with our platform engineering team to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Conduct load, stress, and performance testing on high-throughput processes.

• Provide mentorship to QA engineers and promote best practices across the engineering team for testability and quality.

• Execute investigations with root cause analysis and ensure closure with new automated coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on test automation and quality engineering.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages; experience with Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Python is preferred.

• Extensive experience with test automation frameworks, preferably Playwright or similar.

• Strong background in API testing, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and the integration of test automation within CI/CD frameworks, with a preference for experience in Github Actions.

• Solid understanding of relational databases, with the ability to write complex SQL queries, assess data integrity, and evaluate database performance impacts.

• Experience in testing distributed, cloud-based systems, particularly with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes preferred.

• Knowledge of and experience in testing event-driven architecture patterns such as Kafka or similar.
