This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and mentor in technical aspects of Quality Engineering and Test Automation within the Data Engineering domain.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and best practices for extensive Databricks data processing systems.
• Create and implement automated tests for ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and batch processing tasks.
• Ensure data quality, proper transformations, and adherence to business rules across claims, eligibility, and accumulation workflows.
• Design scalable test automation solutions tailored for Databricks and cloud data environments.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment of testing with business and regulatory demands.
• Integrate automated data quality checks into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps teams.
• Assist in root cause analysis for testing defects, performance issues, and production-related incidents.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PHI, PII, and security standards during testing activities.
• Promote the use of contemporary test automation, monitoring, reporting, AI Coding Assistant, and agentic testing tools.
• Continuously refine testing processes to boost reliability, scalability, and delivery speed.
• Leverage expertise in PBM/healthcare, including Medicare Part D, CMS compliance testing, and NCPDP SCRIPT claims adjudication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant work experience is required.
• Over 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role for Quality Engineers/SDETs.
• More than 8 years of experience in developing and executing Functional/Regression Test Plans and Test Cases across various testing types.
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud-based data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse platforms, with substantial hands-on expertise in Databricks.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, or Google BigQuery.
• 6+ years of proficiency with object-oriented programming languages and frameworks, such as C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, C++, or Golang.
• 6+ years of experience developing database scripts, managing database objects, and writing queries in relational database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Practical experience with AI Coding Assistants in a production engineering environment, covering prompt/context/loop/graph engineering and agentic AI workflows for test automation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Preferred: experience with test automation frameworks/tooling for Data Engineering/Data Operations solutions.
• Preferred: knowledge of Databricks Declarative Automation Bundles (DAB).
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or PBM sectors.
• Preferred: understanding of Medicare Part D, CMS regulations, or regulated data environments.
• Preferred: strategies focused on AI-driven quality engineering.
• Preferred: experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
