Senior Software Engineer – Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Architecture, development, and management of distributed backend systems for processing and archiving sensor data (Python, MongoDB, MQTT, RabbitMQ).

• Design and maintenance of scalable Linux-based server and system architectures.

• Development and enhancement of distributed communication and software systems with an emphasis on robustness, fault tolerance, and cybersecurity.

• Creation of modern web applications for the visualization and analysis of large datasets (Angular, TypeScript).

• Establishing and managing containerized development and deployment environments (Docker, GitLab CI/CD).

• Development and integration of embedded and edge systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi).

• Planning and execution of systematic testing, validation, and quality assurance processes for applications in critical infrastructure settings.

• Ongoing improvement of existing software architectures and development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in developing complex software and system architectures.

• Strong expertise in Python and familiarity with distributed systems and Linux servers.

• Background in secure and robust communication and software systems (cybersecurity, hardening, secure communication).

• Proficiency with MQTT, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Angular, TypeScript, Git, and CI/CD processes.

• Experience with automated testing, system validation, and applications requiring high quality assurance.

• Knowledge of Linux-based embedded and edge systems.

• Structured and analytical approach to work.

• Excellent command of written and spoken German and English.
