Senior Software Engineer – React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance key components of the mobile and web applications using React Native, overseeing the entire lifecycle including entry building, review, placement, and tracking.

• Identify and resolve critical issues within the React Native client and implement safeguards to prevent future occurrences.

• Lead design reviews for initiatives that span across iOS and Android React Native clients, highlighting trade-offs, risks, and potential failure modes before they escalate into incidents.

• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams on entry placement, entry confirmation, error handling, and bet history to ensure a fast and consistent user experience.

• Transform vague, cross-team objectives into actionable plans with clear milestones and designated owners.

• Leverage data such as product analytics, error dashboards, and session data to confirm the efficacy of fixes and to detect regressions early.

• Mentor fellow engineers on design reasoning and ownership, and establish reusable patterns that can be adopted by other teams.

• Proactively identify and address risks in shared systems before they affect other teams or customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time dedicated to React Native and a strong understanding of the native iOS/Android layers beneath it.

• Proven experience in addressing cross-cutting or ambiguous challenges that involve multiple services, teams, or platforms, rather than staying confined to one area.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives (such as performance improvements, reliability enhancements, and developer velocity) with measurable outcomes.

• Proficient in translating unclear, high-level objectives into executable plans with milestones and accountable owners that align teams effectively.

• A collaborative and coaching approach; you enhance the skills of other engineers through review and design discussions, not just through your own contributions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate technical trade-offs to product, design, and other engineering teams clearly.

• Experience in mobile app performance, testability, and delivering reliable features at scale.
