Senior Software Engineer, Python/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs utilizing Python 3, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

• Create the React and React Native frontends powered by backend services.

• Lead AI-enhanced development utilizing agentic coding tools, prompt and context engineering, automated review, test generation, and evaluation.

• Establish and maintain engineering standards for Continuous Integration (CI), peer reviews, automated testing, and observability.

• Ensure secure releases on AWS.

• Integrate with Airbnb, booking channels, payment systems, and messaging platforms.

• Collaborate with product and operations teams to transform hosting challenges into delivered software solutions.

• Provide mentorship through code reviews and exemplary practices, assisting the broader team in adopting effective methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software development experience, with extensive hands-on expertise in Python and solid knowledge of React; highly technical and actively coding every day.

• Daily and serious usage of AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) in real production environments.

• Strong experience in API design, relational databases, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) (PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions or CircleCI, AWS).

• Proven track record in shipping and operating production systems, including incident response and prevention strategies.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Located in Georgia and capable of working as an independent contractor.

• Experience in developing agentic workflows or integrating LLM features into products (such as tool usage, evaluations, prompt caching, cost control) — a plus.

• Background in React Native, Elastic Stack, or proptech/travel/marketplace industries — a plus.
