Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain production backend services and APIs using Python with FastAPI.

• Execute retrieval workflows, encompassing RAG, embeddings, and vector search.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to make informed technical decisions.

• Ensure systems are clean, reliable, and easily extensible.

• Critically debug and evaluate AI-generated code.

• Articulate technical trade-offs and partner with stakeholders and team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated software engineering principles and capability to create reliable, maintainable systems.

• Experience with ML/AI systems in a production setting.

• Native or fluent proficiency in English.

• Capability to work independently with AI as a primary authoring tool.

• Skill in critically assessing and debugging AI-generated code.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future.

• Must be physically located in the United States while performing work.

• Preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone, with at least six hours of overlap with 9:00–17:00 ET.

• Exceptional proficiency in Python.

• Strong expertise in FastAPI and related subjects.

• Experience with production APIs supported by PostgreSQL.

• Good knowledge of Docker for development and deployment.

• Excellent understanding of version control, CI/CD, environments, and debugging.

• Familiarity with retrieval workflows (RAG) and embedding-based search.

• Experience in early-stage startups is an advantage.

• Understanding of infrastructure as code is a plus.

• Experience with Natural Language Processing is an advantage.

• Familiarity with at least one front-end framework is a plus.
