Senior Software Engineer, Protocol – Rust

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features throughout their entire lifecycle: from architecture and implementation to documentation, deployment, and monitoring. Collaborate across functions to maximize impact.

• Develop comprehensive conformance and adversarial tests to guarantee compatibility in implementation.

• Carry out safe protocol upgrades and address intricate availability and performance challenges.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools effectively while upholding stringent standards for correctness, security, review, and technical accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record in delivering production software and maintainable Rust systems.

• Extensive understanding of Ethereum (EVM, JSON-RPC, clients) and distributed systems.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and articulate complex design choices clearly.

• (Preferred) Experience with op-node, kona, or Reth implementations.

• (Preferred) Proficiency in reading and navigating production Go code while transitioning functionality into Rust.

• (Bonus) Expertise in Solidity for system-level smart contracts.
