Senior Software Engineer, Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of creating a definitive source of truth for program configuration and oversee the migration strategy.

• Direct the design of schemas and the architecture of data flow through a collaborative approach.

• Develop and sustain microservices and RESTful APIs employing contract-driven development.

• Work in partnership with product managers, designers, internal engineering teams, and stakeholders on significant projects.

• Guide and mentor engineers while promoting a robust technical culture.

• Create high-quality solutions across the technology stack.

• Establish new services and tools.

• Develop capabilities for client engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrable senior-level responsibilities.

• Advanced experience with the Java and Spring ecosystem.

• Proficient in web services, RESTful APIs, and contract-driven development.

• Solid background in testing methodologies and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.

• Capability to work independently, offering technical vision and guiding scalable solutions.

• Preferred: experience with real data migrations and resolving conflicts among data sources.

• Preferred: familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and breaking down monolithic applications into services.

• Preferred: experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Postgres, and Snowflake.

• Preferred: experience with protocol buffers and gRPC.

• Preferred: frontend development experience using TypeScript and React, or a willingness to learn.

• Knowledge of energy, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), or virtual power plant sectors is an advantage.
