Senior Software Engineer – Platform Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics.

• Knowledge of data warehouse and analytics architecture patterns.

• Utilize the appropriate data storage solutions including document (Cosmos DB), relational (Azure SQL), graph (Janus, ArangoDB), big data (Azure Data Explorer), and others.

• Employ suitable technologies such as Python, Go, C#, Terraform, queueing systems, and REST APIs.

• Manage complex data flows both in real-time and post-aggregation.

• Enhance data flow processes through SQL tuning, improved map/reduce strategies, queue processing, and other aspects of the data pipeline.

• Possess a strong understanding of diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and other tuning tools to effectively monitor system health.

• Guarantee data integrity, availability, and security within microservice communication and storage layers.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for uniform provisioning and lifecycle management of Azure resources.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated deployments utilizing Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to establish system roadmaps, ensuring alignment with security and privacy standards.

• Conduct code and design reviews, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering colleagues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

• Foster innovation in AI-assisted automation, context-aware security, and data-driven decision-making across Delinea’s platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures.

• Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and managing relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• In-depth understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and transactional consistency in distributed environments.

• Advanced skills in Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure Cloud.

• Practical experience in integrating AI/ML systems with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI frameworks.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and privileged access control.

• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.

• Proven capability to lead and mentor within a collaborative team setting.
