This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Create, develop, and implement messaging solutions utilizing Amazon MQ (ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ) to facilitate dependable communication among enterprise applications and services.
• Build and sustain PHP-based integrations that utilize the STOMP protocol for the purposes of message publishing, consumption, routing, and processing.
• Set up and manage Amazon MQ brokers in development, testing, and production environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational reliability.
• Oversee the messaging infrastructure and actively troubleshoot broker performance issues, message delivery failures, queue backlogs, dead-letter queues, and connectivity challenges.
• Work in collaboration with application development, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to onboard new messaging workloads and establish integration standards.
• Provide support throughout the entire lifecycle of messaging solutions, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, migration, and production support.
• Implement automation, observability, and CI/CD integration for messaging platforms, which encompasses monitoring, alerting, logging, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon MQ and demonstrated expertise in implementing STOMP-based messaging solutions within PHP applications.
• Proven experience in designing and supporting message-oriented middleware in enterprise contexts.
• Strong grasp of asynchronous messaging patterns, pub/sub architectures, queues, topics, and event-driven system design.
• Experience in troubleshooting broker performance issues, message delivery failures, and managing high-volume messaging workloads.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native integration methodologies.
• Competence in implementing monitoring, observability, and operational support processes for messaging platforms.
• Nice-to-Have Skills (Differentiators)
• Knowledge of ActiveMQ Artemis, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or other streaming/event platforms.
• Experience in migrating legacy messaging solutions to Amazon MQ.
• Understanding of enterprise security patterns, including TLS, certificate management, OAuth, and role-based access controls.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js in addition to PHP.
• Exposure to microservices architectures and initiatives focused on event-driven application modernization.
