Senior Software Engineer – PHP, Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for a core business area and steer it towards stability and reliability.

• Write, review, and refactor code while addressing production issues as they arise.

• Methodically decrease technical debt without hindering product delivery timelines.

• Collaborate effectively with our offshore development team.

• Establish essential testing, monitoring, and documentation processes that are currently lacking.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Experience in a high-growth or scaled company environment.

• Strong foundational skills in multiple programming languages and frameworks, particularly **PHP/CodeIgniter** and **Ruby on Rails**.

• Demonstrated history of taking ownership and delivering projects from start to finish.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions even with incomplete information.

• Must be available to work within **US or Canada time zones** (fully remote).

• Familiarity with **MySQL/Aurora** and **AWS** environments is advantageous.
