
Senior Software Engineer – Patient Onboarding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Create and implement dependable, high-quality product experiences that have a direct impact on growth and patient outcomes.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, collaborating closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and fellow engineers to conduct experiments, implement enhancements, and iterate based on real data.
• Develop and enhance systems supporting patient acquisition interfaces, registration processes, eligibility verification, and the comprehensive onboarding experience that transforms individuals seeking care into those receiving it.
• Act as a technical leader within the team: guiding others, identifying constraints and trade-offs early, and exemplifying strong ownership, urgency, and commitment to follow-through.
• Over 5 years of experience in Software Engineering; designing, scaling, and maintaining production-ready web applications.
• Strong expertise in API design, data modeling, and creating distributed systems optimized for performance, accuracy, and resilience.
• Proficient in modern full-stack frameworks, possessing either a frontend focus (overseeing complex user-facing flows, state management, and accessibility) or a backend focus (managing intricate business logic and integrations) while closely collaborating with Product and Design.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects from inception to completion, managing engineering trade-offs, defining clear scope and estimates, and proactively identifying risks early on.
• Experience enhancing team dynamics through structured code reviews, technical documentation, collaboration, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Active familiarity with contemporary AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to boost product velocity, alongside an awareness of the technical risks these tools may present or areas that require oversight.
