Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Platform – Guest App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance the mobile developer experience — from local setup to CI/CD — enabling engineers throughout the organization to contribute to the Guest App with confidence.

• Develop safeguards, tools, and automation that ensure the safe and reliable deployment of changes to thousands of apps.

• Improve the reliability of releases and the freshness of apps available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Fortify observability, monitoring, and operational processes to swiftly diagnose and address issues.

• Utilize AI tools to create automations on a large scale across our release and distribution processes.

• Collaborate closely with our internal launch team — support their workflows, gather feedback promptly, and iterate accordingly.

• Directly contribute to the Guest App codebase when platform and product efforts converge.

• Take charge of cross-functional technical initiatives from design to production.

• Deliver insightful code reviews and provide technical leadership to elevate the team's standards.

• Assist in cultivating a strong team — interview candidates, recommend exceptional engineers, and help shape the engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in developing and delivering production applications, including managing releases from start to finish.

• Proficient in TypeScript.

• Experience in building and maintaining mobile applications (experience with React Native is a significant advantage).

• Proven track record in managing mobile app distribution — including releasing updates through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play, overseeing build pipelines, release workflows, versioning, and compliance with store regulations.

• Demonstrated experience in enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automating build and release procedures.

• A history of improving release reliability and operational visibility (monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting production challenges).

• Ability to navigate complex and sometimes unclear external systems (e.g., Apple/Google developer workflows, certificates, provisioning, store review processes, compliance requirements).

• Background in a product-driven startup, scale-up, or technology firm.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills — past colleagues in product, design, and business would commend your teamwork.

• Strong sense of ownership and initiative, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing ambiguous, cross-functional challenges.
