Senior Software Engineer – Machine Learning, Marketplace Dynamics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Identify and take ownership of complex problems, formulate testable hypotheses, and drive substantial business impact.

• Lead the design and analysis of experiments, or the creation of causal and predictive models to validate your concepts.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement changes in production systems, provide insights to other teams, and clearly communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Keep the team and projects updated on the latest advancements in ML and statistics by reviewing research papers and attending conferences and local events.

• Automate and productionize model pipelines within Python services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in data analysis/statistical software and packages (such as pandas/statsmodels/sklearn in Python, R, etc.).

• Experience in predictive modeling/machine learning, forecasting, or causal inference.

• Comfortable operating within a Unix environment.

• Adequate software engineering skills to collaborate effectively with software engineers.

• A proven ability for original research, a curiosity to discover promising solutions to new challenges, and the determination to see your ideas through to completion.

• A strong desire to develop a deep understanding of the product and business, connecting abstract modeling and analysis tasks to business value.
