Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold resilient data pipelines for the purposes of ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering.

• Develop, train, assess, and iterate on machine learning models encompassing classification, regression, clustering, and NLP tasks.

• Fine-tune and modify pre-trained LLMs and foundational models for targeted applications and datasets.

• Create and oversee MLOps infrastructure, which includes model versioning, experiment tracking, and deployment pipelines.

• Handle structured and unstructured data on a large scale — this includes text, tabular, and time-series data.

• Monitor model performance in a production environment and implement strategies for retraining and drift detection.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to convert data insights into actionable AI features.

• Clearly and thoroughly document data schemas, model architectures, and pipeline logic.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python with practical experience in primary ML libraries (such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalents).

• Strong data engineering background — including SQL, ETL pipelines, and experience with large-scale datasets.

• Hands-on experience with model training, evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and deployment processes.

• Familiarity with LLMs and transformer-based architectures; prior experience in fine-tuning or prompt engineering in production settings.

• Experience with experiment tracking and MLOps tools (such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC, or similar).

• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, data quality principles, and model performance metrics.

• Must possess previous remote work experience, be adept with remote collaboration tools and platforms (like Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have ideally worked with companies based in the US or UK. Applications lacking this experience will not be considered.
