Senior Software Engineer – Laravel, Next.js, PostgreSQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create new functionalities for a large-scale enterprise web application.

• Comprehend and navigate through an existing production codebase.

• Develop and sustain Laravel APIs and backend services.

• Implement frontend features utilizing Next.js and React.

• Finalize the migration process from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.

• Enhance PostgreSQL queries and overall database performance.

• Incorporate and manage third-party APIs.

• Oversee cron jobs, queues, scheduled tasks, and background workers.

• Work alongside the DevOps engineer on deployments, CI/CD, and infrastructure enhancements.

• Diagnose production issues and establish long-term resolutions.

• Improve application performance, scalability, and security.

• Engage in architecture discussions and conduct code reviews.

• Provide mentorship to junior developers when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Deep knowledge of Laravel.

• Extensive experience with Next.js and React.js.

• Proficient in working with PostgreSQL.

• Solid understanding of MongoDB.

• Experience in building and utilizing REST APIs.

• Practical experience with Docker.

• Familiarity with Linux servers.

• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience with production applications.

• Ability to quickly grasp large codebases.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
