Senior Software Engineer – Kubernetes Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain a highly available Kubernetes infrastructure at scale.

• Take the lead in designing small to medium components/features and engage in the design of larger components/features.

• Hold substantial ownership of a specific component/feature of the compute platform.

• Contribute to architectural decisions regarding container orchestration and cloud-native services.

• Provide mentorship to engineers on Kubernetes best practices, container security, and cloud infrastructure.

• Create automation tools and enhance CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.

• Collaborate with platform and application teams to optimize the performance of workloads.

• Initiate efforts aimed at improving system reliability, observability, and disaster recovery.

• Participate in the on-call rotation and manage incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.

• At least 3 years of hands-on production experience with Kubernetes.

• Strong comprehension of container technologies such as Docker and containerd.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Helm, or similar.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Go, Python, or Java.

• Extensive knowledge of networking, security, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
