Senior Software Engineer – Java, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and lead the implementation of complex features for enterprise applications.

• Establish and uphold high technical and software quality standards.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior and mid-level developers.

• Actively participate in the entire Agile cycle, from architecture definition and epics to production releases.

• Create scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance architectures.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies, AI tools, and cloud solutions.

• Integrate secure development practices and vulnerability mitigation strategies into continuous delivery processes.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering teams, and external technology vendors.

• Provide Tier 3 strategic support for applications in production.

• Manage priorities and timelines to meet technical and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of software development experience.

• More than 4 years of solid experience in developing and designing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework.

• Extensive experience in designing, developing, securing, and maintaining RESTful microservices and API ecosystems.

• Advanced experience working with AWS or Azure services.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate, AWS Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

• Experience in database design, SQL optimization, and ORM/data access technologies.

• Proven experience leading the architectural cycle of high-impact features from definition to production implementation.

• Strong knowledge of system design, distributed architectures, microservices, design patterns, and Clean Code principles.

• Experience in secure development, security testing, and vulnerability resolution.

• Familiarity with tools such as Snyk or Qualys.

• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, performance optimization, and application monitoring.

• Advanced conversational English skills.

• Effective interaction with international teams.
