Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and uphold robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions using Java.

• Establish and evaluate integration architectures (both synchronous and asynchronous), communication patterns, and service contracts.

• Act as the technical reference for the team, providing guidance on development best practices, conducting code reviews, and making design decisions.

• Spearhead the technical refinement of requirements and decompose complex solutions into actionable deliverables.

• Facilitate the technical development and growth of the team through mentoring and collaborative work.

• Guarantee delivery quality through automated testing, observability, and effective failure management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Java development (recent LTS versions) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot).

• Expertise in systems integration: REST/SOAP APIs, contracts, versioning, and error management.

• Familiarity with messaging and asynchronous processing (e.g., SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Understanding of distributed architectures, microservices, and integration patterns.

• Proficient in relational databases (SQL) and data modeling.

• Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).

• Proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and influencing architectural choices.

• Strong communication skills with the capability to articulate technical solutions across diverse teams.

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Datadog, OpenTelemetry).

• Familiarity with security measures applied to integrations (OAuth, mTLS, certificates, SAML/SSO).

• Experience in JVM tuning and performance enhancement.

• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design practices and hexagonal architecture.
