Senior Software Engineer, Integrated Workflows

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance two-way synchronization with record-keeping systems such as Jira, Linear, and Asana.

• Create, establish, and sustain integrations across platforms including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office, video conferencing tools, Slack, and Teams.

• Improve Mural's shared integration platform frameworks, services, and patterns.

• Manage content pathways which encompass imports, image panels, Unsplash APIs, copy/paste functionality, file uploads, iframe embedding, PDF-to-Mural conversion, exports, and downloads.

• Collaborate with teams on render-for-export, notification engine, and company-wide migration boundaries.

• Ensure the public API remains accessible for third-party developers while maintaining backwards compatibility.

• Oversee projects from research and design to proof of concept, execution, release, and iteration.

• Provide adaptable, maintainable solutions while being accountable for quality, performance, reliability, and security.

• Integrate AI tools into essential workflows.

• Design, strategize, and implement automated testing and documentation methodologies.

• Engage in technical design discussions, review code, and mentor junior colleagues.

• Contribute to enhancing team processes and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with technologies such as React, Node.js, or other contemporary frameworks.

• Practical experience integrating with third-party APIs and platforms, covering OAuth, token lifecycle management, webhooks, rate limiting and backoff, pagination, versioning, and graceful degradation.

• Over 5 years of experience in building and deploying large-scale production software within an agile engineering team.

• Demonstrated success in designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems.

• Outcome-driven and highly experimental interest in AI-assisted development practices.

• Proven ability to plan technical projects and iteratively deliver new systems and features.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of leading technical discussions and managing trade-offs.

• Experience with building against Microsoft Teams or Office add-in SDKs, or delivering through a partner marketplace or app review process is advantageous.

• Experience in designing and maintaining a public developer API.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Understanding of secure file handling at scale, including permissions checks, malware scanning, and content validation during uploads.

• Experience in content migration or format conversion between products.

• Background in high-growth, fast-paced environments or startups is a plus.
