Senior Software Engineer – Infrastructures

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Participate in the design, development, and rollout of infrastructure services.

• Ensure that teams utilizing the infrastructure platform have a uniform experience and can access platform products through self-service.

• Employ best practices for cloud infrastructure design focusing on performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.

• Execute observability strategies to identify and rectify issues proactively.

• Collaborate with the CISO to plan and test disaster recovery protocols and backup strategies.

• Establish and uphold compliance infrastructure, which includes data catalogs and access controls.

• Work alongside the CISO and IT department to guarantee that operations adhere to industry and company standards while achieving required certifications.

• Assist fellow engineers with infrastructure-related inquiries.

• Engage in rotating on-call support outside regular hours.

• Mentor and support team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience with AWS services and the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Experience in managing data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake.

• Proficiency in Python and modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, including Terraform and Pulumi.

• Understanding of best practices concerning security, performance, observability, disaster recovery, and compliance.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to document engineering decisions, data pipelines, and architectures effectively.

• Enthusiasm for continuously enhancing products and staying up-to-date with infrastructure and platform engineering methodologies.

• Openness to participating in out-of-hours support on a rotating basis.
